Resumen de la KDD sobre Asterisk y VoIP

El pasado 19 de Noviembre, tuvimos una KDD de Linuca en el local de
Victor como viene siendo costumbre. En ella estuvimos 4 horas!!
viendo temas de Voz sobre IP, protocolos, software y hardware.
Aquí resumimos brevemente lo que fue y os referencio el material de la charla.

Gonzalo nos dio una buena visión del mundo de la telefonía por IP.
Utilizó unas transparencias de un curso al que había
asistido
y que están
bajo licencia libre. También nos pasó la referencia al
libro de O'Reilly
donde se dan explicaciones aún más detalladas.
Después jugueteamos un poco con sus ``juguetes''. Pongo los
links a los productos como ejemplo de lo que vimos sin que se tenga
que contar como publicidad expresa:
- Una mini plataforma 386, en concreto una
Wrap1e202
del
fabricante suizo PC Engines
con un
AMD Geode SC111 y 128 Mb de RAM que corria la distribución
AstLinux
, una distribución
optimizada para Asterisk y estas placas. También me ha dicho que hizo
pruebas con una variente de Debian llamada Voyage
Linux
desarrollada por un tío en Hong Kong.
- Unos teléfonos IP Sipura
SPA-841
(nota Sipura ha sido comprada por Linksys),
Grandstream BudgeTone BT-101
y un movil-wifi.
Como última prueba conseguimos conectar mi portátil Inés (Ubuntu
Breezy) mediante Kphone y linphone para hablar con uno de los
teléfonos hardware. Por razones misteriosas la voz sólo fluyó en una sóla
dirección.
Para a quienes les interese, tengo la primera hora de video grabada en
.avi. Se oye algo bajo pero nos puede servir como referencia para
mejorar en futuras KDD's. Pasaros por mi despacho de la Univ. de Cantabria (Facultad de
Ciencias, Depto Electrónica y Computadores, 3a planta, grupo CTR) con
un DVD virgen y os haré una copia.
